Welcome to the Weekend with Tommy Hilfiger

Welcome to the Weekend with Tommy Hilfiger

Happy weekend and I do mean happy. After 8 frantic days of looking for a house to rent, my husband finally secured one. I haven’t seen it yet, which is a small concern because I’m really picky but I’m relieved to know we have a place to go in 3 weeks.

My last post drew interesting comments. Some liked it and some didn’t. I read every one of them and I thank you for sharing. I agree it looks better without the jacket but I’m also not turned off by the combo. Will I intentionally wear them together again? Probably not because I prefer contrast between the washes when wearing double denim.

Today I’m in the dressing room with Tommy Hilfiger. I’ve never owned any of this line before so was curious to check it out. The look is preppy and on sale with the code WKND25. Someone my size swept through this department cleaning out everything that would fit me so I made do with what I could find.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger at Macys

This 3/4 sleeve chambray dress is great but 2 sizes too small for me. It’s fit and flare shape is classic and figure flattering. It snaps up front so could be worn open over colored jeans or a column of white. Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled life modeling paisley dress by Tommy Hilfiger at Macys

This paisley tie dress is sooo not me. I seldom wear pattern and if I do it’s never this busy but I’m trying these clothes on for you:) It makes me look square and would be more flattering on a woman with curves. The pattern is retro and slightly warm toned.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger dress from Macys

This floral wrap dress is 4 sizes too large for me. They only had this 12 or a 2 so I assume it’s very popular. It also comes in a mint colored print.  It’s a wrap style with a surplice neckline which flatters most figures. I like it topped with this white denim jacket which is also not my size.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger at Macys

I never met a polka dot I didn’t love and this shirt is no exception. It’s a classic shape, available in 17 colors, 4 of which are polka dot. I am wearing it with the Slim ankle pant in Pebble. I love this look!Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger from Macys

On the left I’m wearing the Slim Ankle pant in pebble and on the right I’m wearing the stretch Chino in Peony. Both have elastane for stretch and both are comfy. They both have more fabric at the hip than I need so will be best on a curvier figure.

I’m wearing them with this on-trend gingham utility shirt. I tied it at my waist to keep my legs from looking overly short then I popped this classic denim jacket on top of the pink pant outfit. I like the pink pants, black gingham, and denim combo.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger from Macys

This trench coat is a soft blue and white stripe. It’s a coated fabric and unlike most spring coats will actually repel water…I like that. It’s classic, fresh looking and will be in style forever. It’s the kind of purchase that serves you for the long haul.Jennifer Connolly of A Well Styled Life modeling Tommy Hilfiger from Macy's

This striped hoodie that is a classic. It’s super soft and very wearable. I see me wearing this as we travel in our Rv and sitting at T-ball games to watch my grandson…which is in my near future since we rented a home close to him!!

Are you a preppy dresser?

Can’t wait to hear what you think of your rental and what it is like! I think the garment here that most looks like you to me is the trench coat. It is so helpful when you do this, Jennifer. Enjoy your Saturday!

Love the trench coat. Ideal for this time of year. Also like you in the 1st dress. Shame it was too small. Looked very comfortable and smart.

Jennifer, if you bought it in another size would you change the hemline? In other words, is the shown hemline what would be best for you in this style?

I would shorten it about 2 inches to the flattering spot on my leg. We all have them.

First of all, thank you for showing what is available. Shopping is not my favourite activity so it is very helpful to have some idea of what is in the shops before I go. Loved the trench coat and wish I had it this morning. Very much liked the polka dot blouse. My style exactly. Again, thank you so much.

So many great looks on you! I especially liked that striped trench coat which is in an unexpected and fabulous color and pattern. The chambray dress would be a great item to have as well as the pants. So many choices to have! Thanks for a great post. Enjoy your new home!

I like the chambray dress on you, the pink pants denim jacket combo and the coat best. Last fall I bought a denim dress to wear with leggings this winter, never wore it. Then I started seeing dresses like this worn open as dusters, and the taxes came off when I wore it with some white jeans, white oxford shirt and a colorful scarf. Love the look!
I hope your move goes well!

Thanks for showing some fun combos, I like the pink pant, blue jacket combo, and the denim dress. I hope your new rental is ok, did you find one in the Sun City ? I return from vacation in June, if you need anything! ????

How great that you are renting near your grandson! I’m sure that feature alone makes the house great! 🙂

I own quite a few Tommy Hilfinger items. I love the trench coat.

    Have a great weekend!

Good to hear you found a rental!

Another vote for the chambray dress on you, it really suits you. If you wore a white cami and opened another button would that work? It gives your figure a nice balance 🙂

The pink chinos looked lovely too.

It’s a great balance for my inverted triangle silhouette! Very observant !

I really like the striped raincoat. It’s nice to looking stylish while out in the rain.
That is a little scary to have your hubb rent a house but then it is only temporary. If it’s not perfect just pretend your camping. ????

I’m looking forward to hearing all about your new place!

The trench coat and the hoodie are my favourite pieces from today’s post. I’ve never been very fond of polka dots, but I do like that shirt too.

Clothes mostly ok but your hair looks great! Parted on the other side? I like it

I flip sides occasionally because that gives it extra oomph and lift.

I never gave Tommy Hilfiger a thought for everyday things.
I have revised my thinking my thank you. I love the striped trench and the paisley dress. That striped hoodie looked incredibly cozy on you and I hope you took it with you. That denim dress was also very flattering on you…always nice when things make you look like you are a size zero.
Thank you for this series I appreciate the pictures and the commentary.

The chambray shirtdress was ADORABLE on you. I can’t imagine it in a larger size, as the shoulders would be too wide. Also loved the trench coat. Liked the way the pink chinos fit you around the hips and thighs, but like the length of the slim ankle pant on you better. (Lengthens your legs.) Also really liked the striped hoodie a lot.

You’re right about the shoulders on the chambray dress. I didn’t think about it that way.

Tommy H suits you well in my opinion. I love that you always have great, useful, practicle suggestions for use of garments in multiple ways. Thank you for doing that!

Will be nice to be closer to your grandson : )

I enjoy your dressing room photos. The gingham top looks so good with the pink and tan pants. The trench coat looks interesting and yes, useful. Nice blog.
