Happy weekend and I do mean happy. After 8 frantic days of looking for a house to rent, my husband finally secured one. I haven’t seen it yet, which is a small concern because I’m really picky but I’m relieved to know we have a place to go in 3 weeks.
My last post drew interesting comments. Some liked it and some didn’t. I read every one of them and I thank you for sharing. I agree it looks better without the jacket but I’m also not turned off by the combo. Will I intentionally wear them together again? Probably not because I prefer contrast between the washes when wearing double denim.
Today I’m in the dressing room with Tommy Hilfiger. I’ve never owned any of this line before so was curious to check it out. The look is preppy and on sale with the code WKND25. Someone my size swept through this department cleaning out everything that would fit me so I made do with what I could find.
This 3/4 sleeve chambray dress is great but 2 sizes too small for me. It’s fit and flare shape is classic and figure flattering. It snaps up front so could be worn open over colored jeans or a column of white.
This paisley tie dress is sooo not me. I seldom wear pattern and if I do it’s never this busy but I’m trying these clothes on for you:) It makes me look square and would be more flattering on a woman with curves. The pattern is retro and slightly warm toned.
This floral wrap dress is 4 sizes too large for me. They only had this 12 or a 2 so I assume it’s very popular. It also comes in a mint colored print. It’s a wrap style with a surplice neckline which flatters most figures. I like it topped with this white denim jacket which is also not my size.
I never met a polka dot I didn’t love and this shirt is no exception. It’s a classic shape, available in 17 colors, 4 of which are polka dot. I am wearing it with the Slim ankle pant in Pebble. I love this look!
On the left I’m wearing the Slim Ankle pant in pebble and on the right I’m wearing the stretch Chino in Peony. Both have elastane for stretch and both are comfy. They both have more fabric at the hip than I need so will be best on a curvier figure.
I’m wearing them with this on-trend gingham utility shirt. I tied it at my waist to keep my legs from looking overly short then I popped this classic denim jacket on top of the pink pant outfit. I like the pink pants, black gingham, and denim combo.
This trench coat is a soft blue and white stripe. It’s a coated fabric and unlike most spring coats will actually repel water…I like that. It’s classic, fresh looking and will be in style forever. It’s the kind of purchase that serves you for the long haul.
This striped hoodie that is a classic. It’s super soft and very wearable. I see me wearing this as we travel in our Rv and sitting at T-ball games to watch my grandson…which is in my near future since we rented a home close to him!!
Are you a preppy dresser?
Thanks for reading ladies and have a great day!
