The Perfectly Classic Blue jean

I’m always on the hunt for a comfortable pair of blue jeans. They’re an essential part of my casual wardrobe that I wear several times a week. I like to dress them up or down and love ones that are versatile. Hard, stiff jeans have no place in my wardrobe because I refuse to be uncomfortable. The pair I’ve been living in lately has the perfect amount of stretch and are incredibly soft. You saw me wear them horse back riding in Montana and I also wore them for a day of trail walking.

We spent hours in the car… then several hours hiking… so comfort was key. Despite it being a bad hair day that required a head scarf plus a hat…I was one happy and comfy camper:)

Last weekend I wore them sailing on San Francisco Bay…which calls for lots of sitting.

Jennifer Connolly in Parker Smith Jeans from Artful HomeI already struggle with sea sickness so I didn’tĀ need anything tight against my tummy. These jeansĀ don’t bind anywhere and are as comfortableĀ as leggings.

Artful Home has never carried jeans so when they told me they were going to carry just one style, I was anxious to see what made the cut.

They sent me this pair last month to see what I thought and they’ve been in constant rotation in my wardrobe ever since.

These are Parker Smith jeans in the Runaround Sue style. They have classic 5 pocket styling, a slim fit and a high rise that I love. No muffin top with these jeans!

They don’t feel like regular jeans and part of the reason is the fabric content. They’re made of 73% cotton, 14% Rayon, 11% polyester, and 2 percent spandex which makes them very soft and elegant. I seriously love these jeans!

I’ve had fun rolling mine up all summer and definitely liked that cowgirl vibe it gave me in Montana.

Yesterday I hemmed them to the proper length for me to wear with booties throughout the fall and winter.

    1. Thank you, Judi, and welcome! I have added you to the email list.

  2. Jeans are an absolute staple in my wardrobe! We’ve had such a hot, dry summer here on the prairie that I’ve hardly worn them this season, but with fall just around the corner, I’ll soon be back in them on a pretty regular basis. Yours look very comfortable!

    1. They are most comfy in the cooler weather for sure, Elaine!

Do these jeans run large or small? I have a body shape similar to you, but taller – 5’7″.

    1. I think they run perfectly true to size. I’m wearing a 29 which is my standard size. I might have worn the 28 though because they’re so soft!

    1. I never ever wear tee’s with writing but this was bought in Montana by a local company and felt perfect for the trip:) These jeans are amazing!!

      1. Hello, Jennifer! I am new to the sight. I do agree with you about tees. I like the neckline on that one, and never wear the classic t-shirt neckline. Also, I often hem shorter and curve that hem UP a couple inches at sides. It looks so much more ‘chic’!

      2. Welcome! That’s a great idea because it would add more shape to the tee!

  4. How did you hem them to make them look like original hem?

  5. Not long enough for me … this IS my biggest issue , it is so hard to find nice jeans in a 32inch inseam ..ugh

    1. That is a drag Renee! We short ladies can always hem but you tall ladies are really challenged. Sorry
