Dressing Room Diaries: LOFT

Happy Friday, ladies! Yesterday I did a little retail therapy and stopped to do Dressing Room Diaries for you. This is getting to be an expensive series for me:) I keep finding great things! But, I’m happy to be rediscovering stores I haven’t shopped in for years. This week it’s the LOFT.

I haven’t shopped at the Loft for several years and was delighted to find great styles that fit my body. Like many brands, LOFT carries pants in various fits for every body shape. The Julie fit is curvy through the hips.  The Marisa fit is straight through the hip which fits me perfectly.

I loved this blouse from the 40% off sale rack and paired it with the skinny fit Marisa pant in a dark gray.

The blouse comes in regular and petite. I loved the soft color. The pants are a perfect fit for me and I liked the regular length as opposed to the petite.

Then I added this lace top in the same gray as the pants. The lace was really pretty but I would have preferred a lower or V-neckline on my broad shoulders. It looked boxy on me, not my fav look:)

This floral, cold shoulder tee caught my eye in several colors.

The jeans have an unpicked hem and are meant to be cropped. These are regular length but they also come in petite online. The fit is really nice and the rise is great.

I like this top in stripe better than the floral on me, but the medium was too large. Notice how it dips to show my underarm? Not a good look on me. I prefer cold shoulder tops that just show the shoulder, so I ordered the small online. At $29 it will be awesome all summer!

I really liked this bell sleeved sweater, pretty color and easy to wear. The Julie fit pants are too curvy for my hips. If you have curvy hips, try them.

Then I tried the sweater on with the Marisa pant and preferred the proportion. The small scarf seemed like a good idea at the time but I didn’t like that it brought focus to the wrinkles on my neck.

Finally, I switched the pants out and found a preferable way to wear this scarf:)shopping at the LOFT

LOFT carries a large selection in petite with even more choices online. They’re always having sales and right now are offering an additional 40% off their affordable prices. Win, win!

Have you shopped at the LOFT lately?

I was really pleased and will back.

Thanks for reading and have a great day.

I am new to your blog, and I love your style! I thought to myself, she looks familiar, then the name Petula Clark jumped in my head! Do you remember her? “Downtown”????

I love the casual look you’ve shared here today. I live in a coastal resort area in South Carolina so casual works well for me, most of the time. I have chosen new eyewear that is a very similar color to yours. Looks very nice on you!

I’m a huge fan of the LOFT and even took both my mom & stepmom there in the last couple of years!!
I love how you put the scarf on your belt loops—that’s brilliant!

Loft has been my go to for years. They have the best selection of petite clothes I have found. I’m a Marisa fit gal, also. I love their petite skirts.

Which brings me to a question…do you have tips for legs which still have nice shape but have some issues with spider veins and blotchiness? Bare or hosiery? I would love to hear some opinions on that ????. Love your blog!

Thanks for shopping all of these great retailers for us, Jennifer. It really helps to see garments on real life women and not merely models.

It’s fun to try the different brands and share but it’s tough not to take everything home!!

Loft is one of my go to stores. I shop mostly online since I’m a petite – they have such a good selection.

I often find Loft items at the thrift store where I shop and usually end up taking them home! – Amy

I’m not a fan of cold shoulder tops, but I do like the striped on on you (if the fit was right). I also like what you did with the little scarf the second time around. Definitely a cute touch!
