Happy Saturday ladies! For today’s Dressing Room Diaries, I stopped into Macy’s and focused on just one designer. The Calvin Klein section caught my eye because of an outfit that ended up looking so awful on me, I almost didn’t photograph it. Then I remembered this feature is not for me, it’s for you. I think we all benefit from seeing clothes on a real woman who is over 25 and
way over 110 pounds:)
This black and gray polka dot top had a lot going for it. I loved its V-neckline and tiered bell sleeves. It would pair nicely with lots of colors and look fabulous with jeans.
This black V-neck top has a keyhole neckline and slim shape. I loved that the bell sleeves are 3/4 length so stay out of the way. It’s available in 4 other colors and I preferred the Spring Rose for me. These are the zip pocket straight pants with spandex.
This gingham top has semi-sheer sleeves and would need a cami under it in this color. It also comes in black and white which I think I would prefer on me. I’m wearing it with these same pants with stretch, zip pocket, and straight pants in Latte color.
This zip pocket utility shirt was a great idea but not executed well. (maybe that’s why it’s marked way down) It comes in several colors and has interesting details but I dislike how it pulls across the bust. If you’re very slim across the front this may fit you nicely.
This printed dress was very pretty and would be great for a summer wedding, shower or luncheon.
Many women don’t like to show their arms so I topped it with this cropped cardigan. It’s ruffled sleeves feel a little to Bo-Peep like for me. I’d prefer this one, this one, or this sheer striped one.
This fit and flare dress was the most unusual fabric. It has a perforated fabric that almost feels like scuba fabric.I topped it with the same cardigan as above and preferred these two together.
This color-blocked dress was too wide in the hips and not a great color for me but I loved the shape.
Here’s this dress in a more flattering color but a size too small. It’s marked way down too!
This was the unflattering tunic that drew me into the Calvin Klein department. The sheer overdress has thigh-high side slits which make it flow when you walk. The neckline is unflattering for me, the pattern feels dated and its square silhouette looks too boxy on me. They had several other prints but the neckline and silhouette combo are too unflattering for me. I think this would be fun on a very thin tall gal.
Have you shopped Calvin Klein lately?
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
