Early Thanksgiving in Black and White
We jumped the gun and celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. My daughter was down for the weekend and since she can’t be here for the official day, we decided to celebrate early. My son hosted and my grandson was an eager participant in the food prep.
Firsts are so fun with grandchildren! We had a small Turkey with all the trimmings plus Crab, which is a family favorite.
I wore classic black and white in layers becauseĀ it has heated up here again.
White jeans are a year-round option for me. I paired them with a white tank top, black shoes and a unique jacket from Purple Poppy.
This long jacket swishes around my legs when I walk and feels dramatic.
The undulating hem updates it’s otherwise classic shape and adds enough creativity to feel modern. TheĀ hem dips high-low on the right side seam then drops dramatically in the front and back.
Classic inset sleeves with button cuffs and a simple collar are a fun contrast to the asymmetrical hemline.
You could wear this jacket buttoned but I prefer it open and flowing over a column of color.
Comfy, USA Ā is designed and manufactured in California by designer Yong Kim. Her designs are prized by women who value cozy fabrics, easy fit and free flowing shapes.
I own several things by Comfy,USA. I love the modern play with proportion. The interplay of classic details with unique lines is my preferred form of creative dressing.
Purple Poppy carries manyĀ styles by Yong Kim for Comfy. Pop over and have a look at her fun designs.
What will you be wearing for Thanksgiving?
Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow for Style Sweet Spot!

Thank you so much, Heather!
I was looking for some comments on the shoes. They are very cute!
I am sure your daughter enjoyed celebrating her two thanksgivings, Canadian and American!
It was wonderful to see her and get to share. It’s so tough when your kids live far away.
Very nice! But you must share about those fabulous shoes!!!!!
The shoes are here http://rstyle.me/cz-n/bpkf4m39zw. I had my shoe man cut 1/2 ” Off the heel to make them more comfy:)
