Good morning ladies and happy Friday! I haven’t forgotten about Dressing Room Diaries and I’ll be back with it tomorrow. I’ve been spending time in San Francisco with my daughter this week and she always takes priority. That’s not to say we haven’t been shopping because we have…more on that in another post.
On Wednesday, I packed lots of Artful Home and French Kande (because I always feel stylish in them) and headed into town via Bart. My sister in law also joined us so the 3 Connoly Women had a blast on the town. We met for dinner at Bix, a Jazz Supper Club. It’s located at 56 Gold Street, in a charming alley off Montgomery in San Francisco’s historic Barbary Coast.
The food is phenomenal and the decor is stunning. It looks like an Art Deco supper club right out of the 1930’s, complete with piano player and singer. We were told the building was an old assayers office during the gold rush where miners brought their gold to be weighed and cashed out.
I’ve driven past Vesuvios many times but never went in. It’s a world-renowned saloon first established in 1948. We had several glasses of Prosecco and played rousing card games late into the night. The people watching was superb and it was a hoot from beginning to end.
I haven’t stayed out this late for many years which reminds me what a suburban bumpkin I’ve become.
Have a great day and thank for reading ladies!
