Dressing Room Diaries: Loft
I haven’t been into the Loft for years. I always thought of them as Ann Taylor’s less expensive sister. Nothing wrong with that if the quality is good and I was thrilled to find it is!
Loft describes their clothes as feminine and casual. “Your go-to destination for everyday glamour.”
I hit them on a busy sale weekend but still got great service. I was pleasantly surprised to find clean, well lit, spacious dressing rooms.
I was first drawn to the color of this trumpet sleeve sweater. Those bell sleeves are popular this fall and add a nice feminine touch that’s not over the top.
These cropped pants were full length on my short self, but too wide at the bottom for my tastes. They’d be very cute on a taller woman.
Then I tried on these Modern Straight Leg Jeans in petite. I loved them. They have a high rise and the length was perfect. It’s very dark rinse is my favorite this fall. I included a picture from their website so you could see them better. Dressing room selfies leave a lot to be desired.
Then I tried on this fabulous Plaid Cape Coat. I love the soft grays and its big pockets. Worn over a simple gray tee, it’s perfect for fall weather. The side buttons close to create sleeves and allow your arms to move freely.
The selection was wide, the quality was great and prices were affordable! This inexpensive sister is a store I’ll be back to.

I started shopping there with my daughter…I had the same impression as you, but I have found terrific jeans, even better than the ones I had been getting at Ann Taylor. The curvy fit is great! Pretty cool when you like the same jeans as your 20 year old daughter!

I’ve had Loft tops for years, they just won’t die. And yes, their sales are pretty awesome!

I absolutely love the Loft, the majority of my closet is Loft. The main reasons – quality and fit. I’m Petite (a smidge under 5′) and I know that if I order online the size is perfect 95% of the time. Since I live 80 miles away from the nearest major shopping, I have to do a lot online.

Yes, I shop at the Loft. In fact, some of my favorite blouses are from there.

I love the Loft. I’ve been wearing their jeans for years and have never been disappointed in the quality or fit.
It’s nice when dressing rooms have good lighting. This alone can boost sales, I believe. Who wants to buy anything when the mirrors and lights create haggard shadows? Shopping for clothes can be a difficult process, so anything that makes it better is welcome.
Until just recently, I thought the Loft was where my daughter and daughter-in-law shopped — too young for me. But this summer, my daughter, granddaughter, and I ALL found things to buy there! I have worn the heck out of three flowy tunic tops from Loft this summer. I need to go back for the fall versions!
I love loft and also the quality. Stylish without being clothes my daughter would wear.
Most of my pants and cardigans are Loft. I love the Julie fit on me. I am 5′. I recently discovered I can wear the Riviera cropped as full length! It takes a while to find clothes that fit, but when I do I stick with them. Yes, their sales are great!

I DO shop at the loft. Their Lou & Grey line is my favorite there. I consider them Ann Taylor’s CASUAL cousin. Did you buy the things you loved?
i love the loft and buy things there often. what i like best is that i always see a variety of ages and stages shopping there, from teenagers to older women like myself. it’s a great place to get those trendy items that spice up my wardrobe without spending lots of dough.
Shop there constantly. Prefer them to Ann Taylor, actually. And their sales are phenomenal.
The sale was outstanding!! I’ll be back for sure.
