A Sparkling New Year: Off to Palm Springs

The holidays were so busy I didn’t leave myself enough quiet time for self-care, and consequently,Ā I’m in need of some R & R. Luckily that’s coming in the form of a holiday in our little RV. We’ve packed the trailer and are heading to Palm Springs this week and not a moment too soon. Our plan is to stay for a month but we’ll see how long it takes forĀ trailer cabin fever to set in. We have a very small trailer:)

I’ll be bringing you along and posting from the road. You’ll see me in large sun hats and easy care clothes that travel well because we’ll be using the good old laundromat. I’ve been asked to share the types of meals I prepare while traveling so I’ll be doing that too.

We visited several years ago but were only there for a couple of hours and didn’t get to explore much. This time we plan to stay for several weeks so should be able to soak up lots of culture and warm temperatures.vintage Palm Springs

Palm Springs isĀ famous for its collection of great mid-century modern architecture so we plan to take several tours to see and learn. I’m a bit hokey in that I like bus tours, They’re a great way to get acclimated to new places.

As 2017 arrives I recognize that I need to make more time for several things in life.

  • I need to get more exercise, and for that, I was dragged to joined a gym. (there is a branch in Palm Springs)
  • I need to eat healthier, and I have begun more meal planning with that in mind.
  • I need more quiet time for self-reflection and to focus on what I’m grateful for.
  • I need to get out in nature more often and spend less time on my computer.

These are not resolutions, but realizations I need to make some changes to continue living A Well Styled Life.

Thank you so much for being here to read, share your comments and wisdom. I love that this blog is a community of intelligent and caring women who inform and support each other.

I wish you all a healthy and joyous New Year!

Are there some tweaks and changes you’re hoping to make in 2017?

  6. Don’t miss the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. It is a spectacular trip to the top of San Jacinto mountain. It is snowy and cold up there so dress warmly. There is a restaurant if you want to relax and enjoy the view. If you want to explore there are well marked trails for short walks or longer hikes. Wear your hiking gear and bring water and a small snack. Have fun in Palm Springs.
